Tree removal

Trees taken down and cleared as part of land work — open ground only, no climbing and no canopy work.

01The work

What this service covers

We take trees down when they're in the way of the work — a line of pines along a new drive, scrub trees standing across a building pad, a dead one out in the middle of a field. The tree comes down, the trunk and limbs get moved off with the grapple, and the stump can be ground out in the same visit if you want the spot clean.

We'll also be straight with you about what we don't do. We aren't an arborist outfit: we don't climb, we don't prune or do canopy work, and we won't take on a tree leaning over a roof or tangled in a power line. That is a different trade with different gear, and you're better off with somebody who does it every day. If the tree is standing in open ground, we can help.

02What we bring

The kit for tree removal

The work runs off a JCB compact track loader. What changes from job to job is the attachment on the front of it.

For tree removal that’s the grapple and stump grinder. The same loader takes the mulcher head and bucket too, so the attachment gets picked to suit what’s actually on the ground.

On this job

  • Grapple
  • Stump grinder

All of it runs off the same JCB compact track loader.
