Mulching and land clearing
What is forestry mulching?
One machine grinds standing brush, saplings and small trees where they stand and spreads the material back over the ground as mulch. Clearing and cleanup happen in the same pass, so you get open ground with a mulch layer on it instead of a site full of piles.
How is mulching different from bulldozing or burning?
A dozer pushes everything into piles, disturbs the topsoil and leaves holes where the stumps were — and those piles still have to be burned or hauled off. Mulching leaves the soil where it is and turns the growth into ground cover that holds the dirt and breaks down on its own. No burn pile, no haul-off, no holes to fill back in.
What happens to the brush and debris?
On a mulching job it stays on the property as a mulch layer — that’s the point of the method. On a brush clean-up or a removal it can be grappled and piled instead. Tell us what you’d rather see happen to the material and we’ll quote it that way.
Do you clear fence lines, ditch banks and property lines?
Yes. A compact track loader fits places a dozer can’t, so fence rows, ditch banks and boundary lines are straightforward work — we mulch the line out and leave it clear enough to walk and to see.
What do you need to get the equipment onto the property?
A way the machine can get in — a gate, a drive, or a length of fence that opens up and closes back. The track loader is compact, so the gap doesn’t have to be a wide one. If the way in is tight, gated, shared with a neighbor or soft underfoot, say so with your quote request — access is part of what we price.

Grading, stumps and tree removal
Do you do driveways and building pads?
Yes — grading in dirt and rock. Driveways, building pads, filling and leveling low spots, and shaping ground so water runs off it instead of standing on it.
Can you grind stumps left from another job?
Yes. Stump grinding is its own service — the trees don’t have to have come down with us. Point out the stumps and we’ll quote grinding them.
Do you take down whole trees?
We do, most often as part of clearing a piece of ground rather than one tree at a time. Tell us what’s there and what’s around it, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a job for us.

Getting a quote
How much does it cost to clear an acre?
It depends on how thick the growth is, what the terrain is like, and how easily equipment gets onto the site — an acre of light brush and an acre of heavy timber are two different jobs. That’s why every job is quoted rather than priced off a list. Tell us where it is and what you want done and we’ll get you a figure.
Is there a job too small, or one too big?
That turns on the ground more than the acreage. A back lot behind a house and a wooded tract get looked at the same way — how much there is, how thick it is, and how we get on and off it. So rather than guess from a number, tell us the size and what’s growing on it and we’ll say plainly whether it’s work for us.
How do I get a quote?

How soon can you start, and how long will it take?
There’s no date or day count we can print on a page and stand behind — both turn on the property and on what’s already booked. Ask when you get in touch and you’ll get an honest answer for your job. If a particular week matters, a closing or a fence going in, mention it up front.
Does the weather change the schedule?
Yes. Wet ground tears up under a set of tracks, so a soaked week can push a start back. Dry ground makes for a better job with less to put right afterwards, and it’s usually worth the wait.
How far do you travel?
We work across South Georgia, out of Baxley, GA. If you’re not sure whether your property is in range, just ask — we’ll tell you straight.
Do I need to be there while you work?
For the walk-through, yes — that’s when we agree what’s coming out and what’s staying, and a flagged line or a marked tree saves a lot of guessing later. For the day itself, just ask: the answer depends on the job, and it gets sorted when we price the work.
